Adam

The first man, the preferred male archetype throughout the history of humanity.

The lost man, seduced by Woman, led to sin. Adam, the symbol of weakness who was punished and became a victim who later punishes and seeks to dominate and destroy the feminine and diversity. For me, Adam is one of the silent symbols of patriarchy that through different religions have persecuted women for their sensuality and sexuality.

In these photographs, I propose a contemporary image of the representation of Adam as a symbol of the patriarchal system. Today's man is still a prisoner of a model of masculinity. It should be remembered that masculinity is a symbolic domain, that is, a heritage of conventions of meaning, beliefs, social roles, myths, cultural legacies, and ways of exercising power from which man asserts himself as such in relation to the world and to himself.
