A Tomb With A View

The project is currently in a phase of conceptual development and experimentation and is part of the Conceptual Thinking programme IDEA, led by Adam Broomberg.

An investigation into how burial is organized at the intersection of familial affection, capitalist logic and the limits of representation.

Taking the cemetery as both site and apparatus, the project examines how burial is organized through logics similar to those governing the housing market: orientation, views, location, and price. In this context, the grave appears as a speculative space, a future place for a body.
