A SMILE IS PRICELESS

We all need a smile, for the benefit of a better future and the joy it brings.

I had never dreamed that I would have the privilege to witness the power of life in Africa. I kept trying to get a photo of its beauty, but, as I left, I realized that it was impossible to do such thing. Because, no matter how much we know about Africa and its unbelievable stories and colorful culture, the most beautiful and the most powerful will always remain hidden and untold.

Conflict, war, poverty, illness and death had never ruined smiles of the Malian people, especially children. Even a little is enough, because their happiness will always come from their pure and honest souls. There is so much we can learn from them, their lives and their cultures.

Through these photos, I wanted their message to reach out to all of us, reflect on our lives and the people around us. We all need a smile, for the benefit of a better future and the joy it brings. Unfortunately, most of us forget the importance of it and lose ourselves in todays abstract world.

Africa is, indeed, the most beautiful emotion someone can feel. It gives us hope and makes our faith for a better tomorrow much stronger.

A smile is priceless, just like life itself.
