One day, she leaves her inner child behind to embrace the role of the mother. Long before the moment of becoming a mother, her body whispers the cosmic power she carries within. She must first mother herself, setting aside her innocence and playful nature. She comes to realize a profound, mystical truth: the God, the Creator, the Great Mother she has long revered, all reside within her. For she, too, is the very portal of creation.

These photographs intimately document my journey from the archetype of the child to that of the mother. Captured in the house of 'the Mother' in South India, they reflect a time when I was seeking God—only to realize, much later, that what I was truly seeking had always been within me.
