Viewfinders - PhMuseum

A book on 'viewfinders': finders of new views, just because they hold the camera in alternative ways. With texts by Erik Kessels and Luca Panaro

Born as the result of a long search investigating the 'owner’s manuals', Viewfinders is a collection of portraits where the characters are presented as 'finders of new views' thanks to the mere action of handling the camera but, and that's the key, upside-down. In the book portraits, all printed in Risograph, even if displayed reminding a manual, are floating and separated from the pages with the instructions. Only few quotes survive from manuals, but lose their instrumental function and assume an intellectual weight.
