SEOUL is the first photo zine by Tokyo-based photographer RYO KATSUMURA. Through quiet observations, reflections, movement, and fragments of urban life, the work captures “something good” found in everyday moments across Seoul.
SEOUL is the first self-published photo zine by Tokyo-based photographer RYO KATSUMURA.
Photographed during visits to Seoul, the work explores quiet moments, reflections, movement, distance, and subtle emotional fragments found within the city’s everyday landscape.
Rather than documenting famous places or dramatic events, the zine focuses on small visual encounters and fleeting atmospheres — moments that simply felt “something good” to the photographer.
Released in 2026, SEOUL has gradually started circulating through independent bookstores, art spaces, and zine communities across Asia, including Seoul, Bangkok, Hong Kong, and Taipei.
The publication reflects KATSUMURA’s ongoing independent practice alongside his work as a photographer based in Tokyo.
