Those were the PhMuseum Days! A Glimpse From Our 1st International Photo Festival

A sincere thank you to the around 4,000 people who came to visit us in Bologna for our first annual event designed to gather together our international community. A moment dedicated to sharing, learning, and enjoying photography.

A sincere thank you to the around 4,000 people who came to visit us in Bologna for our first annual event designed to gather together our international community. A moment dedicated to sharing, learning, and enjoying photography.

From 23 to 26 September, about 4,000 people came to visit us in Bologna, Italy, to enjoy the 9 exhibitions, attend the 10 round tables and 12 book signing, see the projection of the finalist works of the open call, participate in guided tours and aperitifs among the warehouses of the PhMuseum Days 2021. A demonstration of support that goes beyond what we could hope for this first edition and that motivates us to work at our best for the next one.

The PhMuseum Days were truly a great moment of meeting and sharing in which the world of photography merged with the Bolognese scene and those who came to visit us from all over Italy and Europe. Thanks therefore to artists, curators, independent publishers, photo editors, fitters, volunteers, sponsors and the Municipality of Bologna for having created a first extraordinary edition. We couldn't image a better New Beginning.

The festival returns next year with the aim of growing internationally. Meanwhile, our exhibition program continues. Come and visit us on November 18th at the PHmuseum Lab for the inauguration of the Slightly Altered exhibition by the Ukrainian duo Synchrodogs. We look forward to meeting you again, and stay tuned for the festival 2022 open call.
