Unseen Amsterdam is an event that lies between an art fair and a contemporary photography festival taking place in September that showcases the latest developments in the field of contemporary photography practices.

Overview

With 65 galleries from all over the world, Unseen offers a rich, global perspective on what’s new in photography. During the 4-days fair in Amsterdam, visitors can also explore Unbound, Unseen’s most ambitious section to date, dedicated to boundary breaking photography projects crossing over into installation art, sculpture, digital art, virtual reality and performances art. Furthermore, the Book Market will host over 65 independent publishers of photography books and will feature many new book launches and signing sessions by the artists. Amongst its exhibitors are established international photography and contemporary art galleries, as well as young up and coming initiatives. The fair makes no distinction between galleries in those categories, an approach that is underlined by its iconic circular design.
