Celebrating its 20th edition, Photaumnales 2023 will focus its exhibition programme on how photographers look at sports in the run-up to the Olympics in July 2024.

Overview

This year, under the theme HORS JEUX, the festival showcases photographers who deal with the subject of sports through offbeat approaches, exploring a wide range of themes such as events, sociology of practices, sporting landscapes, and exaltation of the body. The 40 exhibitions of this year's event are part of the Cultural Olympiad in the Hauts-de-France region.

To celebrate sport, Photaumnales has also set up a partnership with L'équipe Presse Sports, enabling visitors to access the archives of the press agency, which contains over 15 million images dedicated to sports, in a French and international framework since the early 20th century.

Guest of the 2023 edition include Guillaume Martial, Théo Saffroy, Sarah Makharine, Denis Darzacq, Luisa Dörr, René-Jacques, Céline Villegas, Sabi Singh, Brice Krummenacker, Erik Kessels, Lavinia Parlamenti & Manfredi Pantanella, Ken Grant, Charles Thiefaine, Studio Kima, Thomas Sauvin and more.
