Organised by the Sept Off association, the L’Image Satellite festival returns to Nice with an open call for its 2026 edition, inviting photographers and visual artists to submit projects exploring contemporary approaches to the still image. Conceived as an “observatory” of photography, the festival foregrounds emerging practices across documentary work, artistic experimentation, vernacular photography, and hybrid image forms—from printed and exhibited works to projections and moving-image installations. Selected artists will take part in a city-wide exhibition programme that highlights the diversity and evolving languages of contemporary photography, offering a platform for experimentation and dialogue within the current photographic landscape.
