The Jakarta International Photo Festival (JIPFest) is a platform for photographers and public to meet, engage and exchange insights, as well as a space for impactful photography projects to reach out to wider audiences.

Overview

The choices and preferences that each generation makes has far-reaching impacts. This is the issue that the fourth edition of JIPFest will explore, under Generation as festival theme, where curators Asep Topan and Bas Vroege will be working with Exhibition Director Ng Swan Ti.

Selected works highlight the unspoken narratives about how generation forms out of a dark past, dynamic present, and the speculative future. The projects mostly tell the story of the relationship of generations with the notion of Belonging, Future, Disruption, and (Dis)unity.

The Jakarta International Photo Festival is organized by PannaFoto Institute. 2023 Program includes a photo fair, exhibitions, workshops, artists talks, lectures, projections, tours and portfolio reviews.
