JIPFest 2026

The event provides a platform for photographers and the public to meet, exchange ideas, foster dialogue on social issues, enhance skills, and promote Indonesian photographers on the global stage.

Overview

The Jakarta International Photo Festival (JIPFest) serves as a dynamic platform where photographers and the public can connect, collaborate, and exchange ideas. It provides opportunities for impactful photography projects to reach broader audiences through exhibitions, workshops, portfolio reviews, and discussions. As an international event, JIPFest is committed to elevating Indonesian photographers onto the global stage while fostering cross-cultural dialogue.

This edition's theme, Resilience, offers the chance to consider our collective histories and celebrate solidarities, bringing together stories of endurance and survival, and gestures of restoration and regeneration. From environmental disasters to political revolution, from triumphs of the past to the challenges of the future, Resilience speaks to the tenacity of the human spirit and its ability to overcome adversity. It also embraces myths, values and visions that resonate across generations and continue to shape our identities and ways of being. In resilience, we find the means to adapt and the capacity to flourish; the will to resist oppression and the desire to dream.

This year, JIPFest will take place in Cikini, Central Jakarta. Through curated works and public programs, JIPFest hopes to spark conversations around crucial issues that shape our resilience, contribute to movements that encourage positive changes within the society, and collectively celebrate life.
