The Indian Photo Festival (IPF) showcases a wide range of photography from India and around the globe with a series of events including talks and discussions, exhibitions, portfolio reviews, screenings, book launches and workshops.
Overview
The festival strives to promote the art of photography and, at the same time, address social issues through the medium of photography, therefore creating a platform for professional and aspiring photographers, photography lovers and the public. The 9th edition of IPF will be presented at the State Gallery of Art, Madhapur, and other venues across Hyderabad. The event is free and open to the public.
Highlights include a retrospective of Indian photojournalist D. Ravinder Reddy; an exhibition focusing on the ecological challenges of urbanisation in Hyderabad and Bordeaux, France; a documentation on the archeology of the present in the red zone of Vesuvius, Italy; an exhibition of M’hammed Kilito on the degradation of oases in Morocco and its impact on inhabitants; and a workshop with Samantha Clarke & Shweta Gulati from National Geographic.
