Fotofestival Lenzburg

The Fotofestival Lenzburg is an up-and-coming festival of photography that takes place in the history-rich town of Lenzburg in the heart of Switzerland.

Overview

For one month, the Festival brings together participating experts and an interested public. In every edition, the Fotofestival Lenzburg transforms its host town into an open-air photo gallery with several exhibits, photobooks corners in the bars, and a rich program of events including portfolio reviews, workshops, and talks with authors and experts, creating an intimate and cosy atmosphere.

The new edition will be focused on theme Synthesis seen s a process in which something is improved by combining several elements. The resulting whole is greater than its individual parts – not because the individual parts are not or not equally important, but because they fundamentally are. However, achieving this is a constant balancing act between all the different interests, forces and components.

The festival agenda includes earlier events in April, like the presentation of the 1st Fotofestival Lenzburg Catalog and the selection of books by our authors at Never Stop Reading, along with the preview of Sabine Hess’s exhibition You Felt The Roots Grow.

On 25th May are scheduled the opening of the exhibitions in Lenzburg and Aarau, guided tours with authors and curators, plus a vernissage and aperitif with official presentation of the 6th edition in the Stapferhaus, Lenzburg, and a kraft party with DJ set by Pablo Color at Kraftreaktor.
