The next edition of the Circulation(s) festival will feature 24 artists of 14 different nationalities in 2000 sqm of exhibition space at the Centquatre-Paris.

Overview

Created and organized by the Fetart collective, the festival of young photography will be back during spring to always reflect the European artistic ferment, question the boundaries between photography and contemporary art and highlight the concerns of a new generation of photographers. The 2024 edition will continue to connect artists, professionals and the public through these moments of meetings. The program will reserves rich and varied events to bring the festival to life. Masterclasses, workshops, portfolio readings, photo studios, exhibition for children. The Circulation(s) festival takes place at the Centquatre-Paris, a cultural place in eastern Paris, and continues in the form of tours and off-site events in France and Europe.

Jérémy Appert, Lyoz Bandie, Audrey Blue, Jules Bourbon, Glauco Canalis, Luca De Jesus Marques, Fig Docher, Lars Dyrendom, Quentin Fromont, Natalia Godek, Utu-Tuuli Jussila, Tom Kleinerb, Luna Mahoux, Diambra Mariani, Giulia Sidoli, Maria Siorba, Dora Tishmanna, Sasha Velichko, Amin Yousefi and Masha Wysocka are among the artists exhibited. Plus, since 2019, the Circulation(s) festival has highlighted a particular emerging European photographic scene as part of its focus. Previous focuses were dedicated to Romania, Belarus, Portugal, Armenia and Bulgaria. For this 14th edition, the invitation is given to Ukraine with the presentation of series by four artists from this territory: Maryna Brodovska, Lisa Burkeyeva, Yevheniia Laptii and Dima Tolkachov.

Founded on the values of education and transmission around the image, the festival reiterates its ever-growing aspiration to be an approachable event of high standards, and to adapt to all with Little Circulation(s), the exhibition dedicated to kids. The show brings together around ten series of exhibited artists from the edition. Designed with a scenography and adapted texts, this exhibition for children is an educational journey which sharpens the eyes of young spectators while having fun. Imagined with a games booklet, this exhibition aims to be fun and accessible but never simplistic: the goal remains to understand the concerns of these European artists. Between observation and experimentation, Little Circulation(s) reflects the commitment of the Fetart collective to be inclusive and to promote image education through a contemporary and interdisciplinary approach.

This year, for the off-site exhibitions Outside The Walls: Bringing Art To Public Places, an artist's series will be visible at the Claude Lévi-Strauss Library, very close to the exhibition at Centquatre-Paris. It is an opportunity to bring art to public places, accessible to all, and on the other hand, to highlight the places of culture that surround our main exhibition.
