Les Boutographies is a festival founded in 2001 in the Boutonnet district of Montpellier.

Overview

Throughout the three weeks of the festival, visitors can enjoy a stimulating programme selected from hundreds of applications from all over Europe, and presented in one of the most beautiful exhibition spaces in Montpellier, the Pavillon Populaire. The event is also a time for initiatives, meetings and partnerships for all photographers with projects, with special emphasis on those who have already been selected for the Boutographies.

The official programme is complemented by exhibitions curated by the Parallèle section, and by off-site events hosted by a number of cultural venues involved in photography and contemporary art in and around Montpellier. Walking and cycling tours add to the pleasure of visiting exhibitions in an area that changes every year.

Among the exhibited artists in the 2026 edition are Alessandro Silverj, Anouchka Renaud-Eck, Hannes Jung, Alexandre Bagdassarian, Cristóbal Ascencio, Marie Lukasiewicz, Pascal Sgro, Ana María Arevalo Gosén, Anne Mocaër, Arthur Marcier, Carolina Arantes, Elena Bulet, Eliot Nasrallah, Julien Fumard, Julius Schreiner, Lionel Jusseret, Natalya Saprunova, and Sofiya Loriashvili.
