The exhibition brings together 14 emerging artists at Deutsche Börse Group's The Cube, with their works exploring political, historical, and social realities while expanding the possibilities of photography.
Overview
Worlds Within Worlds examines how personal experiences intersect with broader political, historical, and social realities. Moving between memory and the present, everyday life and the uncanny, the featured works reflect on migration, bureaucracy, colonial continuities, environmental fragility, and the shifting boundaries of perception. Rather than presenting fixed narratives, they invite viewers to inhabit moments of transition, uncertainty, and transformation.
The exhibition features works by Lena Bils, Charlotte Burkhardt, Simon Gilmer, E. Elif Gönüllü, Nelly Habelt, Philomena Hummel, Elinor Zoë Karl, Lea Kulens, Len David Oswald, Marie Schwarze, Markus Seibel, Madlen Strebel, Tatiana Vdovenko, and Kerstin Weiser, and is curated by Polina Arzhenovskova, Leonie Cecco, Fanny Dommers, Aissata Drieling, Charlotte Häger, Antonia Janke, Egor Miroshnichenko, Alexandra Rücker, Mattis Thomsen, Max Zimmermann, and Carla Veit.
Worlds Within Worlds is the second collaborative project between the Deutsche Börse Photography Foundation, the University of Art and Design (HfG) Offenbach, and the Curatorial Studies Master's programme jointly run by Goethe University Frankfurt and the Städelschule.
