Banknotes and coins are leaving our fingertips in the wave of the digital economy. This photo exhibition, “Face of Money,” captures the details of analog currency that are gradually disappearing from our daily lives with a macro lens, and makes us look back on the symbols of history, art, power, and trust that we have inadvertently overlooked.
The surfaces of banknotes and coins, magnified dozens of times, record security patterns, subtle shadows of portraits, and even wear marks on metal, illuminating the fact that currency is not just a means of exchange, but a cultural heritage and a trace of time.
