Selected photographers will be exhibited in an RPS partnered venue and a prize fund will be awarded to stand out entrants to support the development of future projects, including an Under 30s Award.

Overview

The IPE presents a unique opportunity to exhibit in a Royal Photographic Society group touring exhibition around nationwide venues, alongside a prize fund to support future photographic projects.

The call offers artists the opportunity to showcase their work while competing for a series of awards. Selected participants will be eligible for the IPE Award (£1,000 and a one-year RPS membership) and the Under 30s Award (£1,000 and a one-year RPS membership).

From all submissions, 100 photographs will be chosen for the touring exhibition at RPS partner venues, and one photographer will be awarded a two-week Solo Exhibition, fully supported by the RPS. Additional opportunities include features in the award-winning RPS Journal, with four photographers selected by the Editor, as well as the Selectors Spotlight, where five artists will receive written statements from guest selectors explaining their choices, which will be included in the exhibition.

All exhibiting photographers will receive a digital copy of the special IPE Journal Edition, and shortlisted entrants will gain international recognition across RPS’s online and digital platforms, including Instagram takeovers.

Practical Info

Photographers and image-makers can submit their work to the RPS International Photography Exhibition with no age limitations. Submissions are encouraged from new, emerging and established photographers worldwide.

All subjects and approaches can be submitted, including alternative photographic processes and experimental work. Entrants can submit four images from a series of work or four single images. One free single image entry is available to everyone.

After the closing date, 2 December 2025, the online selection takes place and all shortlisted entrants are invited to submit prints for the final stage of selection.
