The Realisation Grants of the Centre for British Photography help artists working in Britain to complete a project, finish a book dummy, or realise an exhibition.
Overview
During 2024 the Centre for British Photography will be awarding a total of £10,000 with a maximum award of £2,500 per recipient. These are not support grants but are awards to enable photographers and artists working with photography to complete an ongoing project within a year.
Practical Info
Applications are open to individuals of all ages, irrespective of academic background. Submissions must be photographic or lens-based works in progress but can include incorporations of other art forms with the photographic medium (i.e. performance, painting, sculpture, music, literature, etc).
Apart from the cash prize, recipients of the grants will also have three sessions of expert mentorship from the team and trustees of the Centre for British Photography.
About The Centre for British Photography
Founded by James Hyman in 2020, the charity seeks to support photographers working in Britain through exhibitions, events, grants and mentoring. It seeks to provide a dedicated home for British Photography in all its diversity. The aim is to host exhibitions curated independently by outside curators and institutional partners as well as to stage internally curated exhibitions.
