Raccont’arti - Castelfiorentino Prize For The Arts 2025

"Raccont'arti" has two open calls and recipients will receive cash prizes of €3,000 and €500.

Overview

“Raccont’arti” is an international open call for photographers and visual artists, aimed at mapping the state of contemporary photography. The 2025 edition explores The Illusion Of Knowledge: The Photographic Image Between Freedom And Control.

The Prize invites artists to reflect on the power of the image today, exploring the relationship between photography and control, between the construction of consensus and its disruption.

The call includes two categories: Open, for all artists, and Student, for those currently enrolled in art schools or who graduated in the past year.

Practical Info

Candidates must submit one project with 10 to 30 images. Recipients will receive €3,000 (Open) and €500 (Student). A group exhibition in Castelfiorentino will feature the two winners and eight finalists — four from each category. The Open winner’s work may also be acquired by Ente Cambiano and Banca Cambiano 1884.

"Raccont’arti – Castelfiorentino Prize for the Arts" is promoted by a strong institutional partnership: Banca Cambiano 1884 SpA – Ente Cambiano, the Municipality of Castelfiorentino, and the Fondazione Teatro del Popolo. Together, these organizations support an international, free-to-enter photography prize with Open and Student sections. Their shared goal is to celebrate contemporary photography while enhancing the cultural value of the region.
