An Award honoring the first Italian photo editor, recognizing photographic projects for publication with a 5,000 euro prize.
Overview
The Award is named after the first Italian photo editor and is designed to recognize a photographic project intended for publication in a newspaper, website, or book, with a prize of 5,000 euros. Joining the 19th edition of the Award will be WeWorld, an NGO that has been working for 50 years in Italy and around the world with Development Cooperation and Humanitarian Aid projects. As a special addition to this edition, the WeWorld Special Mention will be granted to the best photographic project focusing on women's rights and gender equality.
Practical Info
The Award is open to Italian photographers or those residing in Italy. Participants can submit a maximum of two projects, either unpublished or already published, containing up to 20 images. The winning project will be showcased in an exhibition in 2024. Moreover, the project receiving the WeWorld Special Mention will be exhibited during the WeWorld Festival in Milan in May 2024.
About GRIN - Gruppo Redattori Iconografici Nazionale
GRIN was established in October 2002 by approximately thirty journalists and several image makers. Its primary purpose is to serve as a reference point for photography professionals within newspaper and magazine editorial teams. The organization aims to provide ongoing opportunities for cultural and professional development.
