Prémio NARRATIVA - FUJIFILM

The PRÉMIO NARRATIVA - FUJIFILM recognizes outstanding photographic projects that engage with contemporary themes through compelling visual storytelling. The winner will receive a monetary prize of €3,500 and a solo exhibition at NARRATIVA’s gallery.

Overview

The PRÉMIO NARRATIVA – FUJIFILM is a new distinction dedicated to contemporary photography in Portugal. This award aims to promote photography by highlighting unpublished projects from authors at either an emerging or established stage in their careers, who are residents of Portugal and aged 18 or over.

Pratical Info

Open to all fields of photography, the award aims to recognize projects that demonstrate a strong ability to construct visual narratives around contemporary issues, highlighting photography as a means of communication and artistic expression. Projects will be evaluated based on originality, conceptual clarity, narrative coherence, and the relevance of the theme.

Applications must be submitted via the online form. Photographers must provide a biography, the title and synopsis of the project, as well as between 15 and 20 digital images. All submitted projects must be original and must not have received previous awards, been published, or exhibited. Each applicant may submit only one project as part of their application.

The prize recipient will receive a cash prize of €3,500 and will have the opportunity to hold a solo exhibition at NARRATIVA in Lisbon, scheduled to open in January 2026. The jury may also award up to two honorable mentions, whose projects will be publicly presented at NARRATIVA.
