Premio Mila per la Fotografia Contemporanea was established in 2014 to commemorate the memory of Mila Malerba, co-founder of the Fund. Now in its third year, the prize promotes contemporary photography through the production and acquisition of works by young artists under 40.

Practical Info

All artists under 40 with Italian citizenship and all artists with foreign citizenship domiciled or resident in Italy may participate in the open call. Applicants must submit a CV including educational background, solo and group exhibitions carried out, any awards and scholarships won, participation in residency programs, bibliography (max 2 pages); a complete portfolio of the most relevant projects carried out in the course of artistic activity; a description of the project with up to 15 images from the project itself (the project must have been realized in the last two years), the signed privacy policy document. Plus, a letter of reference signed by an exponent of the visual arts sector is welcome, but not mandatory.

Five shortlisted artists will be included in a group exhibition in Milan. From these, one selected winner will be awarded the acquisition prize worth €3,000.
