Premio Internacional FELIFA 2025

FELIFA invites photographers, artists, and publishers to recognize the best published photobook.

Overview

To become a book, a photographic project must go through the stages of conceptualization of the object, editing and sequencing, graphic design, and finally graphic production. These stages make up the editorial process and are only possible thanks to the teamwork of the different professionals involved. The FELIFA International Award seeks to highlight these stages, to make the roles visible, to distinguish the multiple skills that make a photobook possible.

To this end, the award includes three categories that highlight the stages in the development of a publication: Editing, Graphic design, and Graphic production.

A group of finalist books will be selected and, for each category, a winning title. Among all the finalist books, one will be distinguished as the Best Photobook, becoming the winner of this edition of the FELIFA International Award.

Practical Info

Applicants must complete the online form with all required information about the submitted book, including its front cover photo, a PDF of the text, the ISBN, a summary, and the author's biography.

The winning books of the categories and the winner of the FELIFA International Award will be announced during the 19th edition of FELIFA at the awards event to be held on 18 October 2025 in Buenos Aires, Argentina. The winning books and finalists will make up an exhibition that will travel to festivals and partner institutions in Latin America during 2026.

The exhibition will study the selected books highlighting their particular characteristics, pointing out the editorial, design, and graphic production decisions. It will be an exhibition that will showcase the richness and complexity of editorial work.

About FELIFA

FELIFA - Festival de Libros de Fotografía y Artes Gráficas is a biannual meeting of photographers, publishers, artists, designers, and the general public, which since 2002 has been dedicated to promoting the production and dissemination of photography books in Latin America. It has held 17 editions in Buenos Aires and 13 in other cities in Argentina and other countries in the region. The main players in the photography and publishing market in Latin America have participated in these editions. Thousands of artists, photographers, publishers and the general public have participated in the activities that have taken place, making this festival a reference space for the entire region.
