Six UK-based practitioners will be selected to receive £500 Seed Grants, aimed at helping them advance their practice or move forward a body of work.
Overview
To celebrate 30 years of Photoworks, Photoworks is partnering with MPB to launch R&D Seed Grants supporting artists to make work. They both exist to offer artists and storytellers using photography the opportunity and means to make new work, and they are proud to mark 30 years of Photoworks with this collaboration.
Practical Info
Applicants must be UK-based working or aspiring artists who uses photography as a medium. To be eligible to apply all applicants must complete the online form, share a link to their portfolio, and answer to the following three questions: Describe the current stage of your practice or project. What will you do with a Photoworks X MPB R&D Seed Grant How will this grant support your work?
Six selected artists will be selected based on the clarity and detail of their responses, particularly how they articulate the impact of the grant on their artistic practice and longterm goals, and will receive £500 grant each, providing them with the opportunity to advance their practice or develop a body of work.
The grant may be used for any expenses that support their art practice, directly or indirectly. This may include but is not limited to materials, equipment, production, research, or studio space. There are no post award obligations, but Photoworks and MPB welcome updates on how they have used the grant and may invite them to share your experience.
