Overview
PhotoIreland launches the 10th FUTURES Talent Call for artists, organised as the Irish member of the FUTURES Photography Platform. The call is open and free to artists based in Ireland and the UK, as well as Irish and UK artists practicing abroad, working in photography and its expanded practice at any level.
The selecting jury will be looking for contemporary, lens-based artists, regardless of curriculum or experience, who have demonstrated dedication and serious intent in their practice.
Selected artists receive a €500 participation fee, FUTURES Conversations with international professionals online and in-person, and travel, accommodation, and per diem covered for participation in the 2027 Annual Event that will take place in October in Vienna, Austria, hosted by member Foto Arsenal Wien. Artists also gain participation in the programme of the Annual Event, including talks and workshops, opportunity to apply to the internal open call for the annual travelling exhibition curated by Foto Arsenal Wien, Fotofestiwal Lodz, and The Finnish Museum of Photography, opportunity to apply for a mentorship session with FUTURES member organisations, and access to exclusive Magnum workshops especially developed for FUTURES artists.
All FUTURES artists are featured online at futures-photography.com, promoted via the FUTURES social media channels, and included in the annual publication, which in 2027 will celebrate the tenth year anniversary of the platform.
