Present your work to exhibit at the 4th edition of PhMuseum Days, our International Photo Festival happening between September and October 2024 in Bologna, Italy.
Overview
The chosen theme is CLOSER: we live in an era in which it is not possible to imagine any objective detachment between us and reality. Observation itself touches and changes things, every story is contamination. The works we are looking for do not attempt to achieve an impossible neutrality, but accept the partiality that comes from looking closely. They make intimacy their strength: in interpersonal relationships as much as in that with the territory, with history, and with living beings. An invitation to open up, to share, to observe things more carefully, beyond prejudices and stereotypes.
Practical Info
We invite you to present your visual projects and share your interpretation of this year's theme. All approaches are welcome, you can also insert links to videos or installation shots in your applications. Through this open call we will select at least 4 projects for individual shows at PhMuseum Days 2024, up to 40 images for a collective installation at Archiginnasio di Bologna, and up to 20 works for screenings at PhMuseum Days 2024. Plus, as applicant you can claim your free daily pass to attend the festival.
To participate, you are invited to submit between 5 and 20 photos. If you present more than a project, please create separate submissions. If you apply before the Early Bird Deadline, you can modify it within 48 hours from that deadline. If you apply later, you can modify it until the Final Deadline. The results will be announced before June.
The jury is composed of Giuseppe Oliverio (PhMuseum Days Artistic Director) and PhMuseum Days 2023 Exhibiting Artists such as Brea Souders, Leonardo Magrelli and Felicity Hammond.
