Parallel Voices 26 Open Call

The selected nine portfolios will be showcased in the Photometria International Photography Festival 2026, in Ioannina, Greece, as part of a group exhibition entitled Parallel Voices.

Overview

This year’s call seeks portfolios of fifteen images, from which a jury will select eight photographs to represent each chosen project. The resulting exhibition, titled Parallel Voices, will showcase nine selected portfolios at the festival, offering a platform for emerging and established photographers to present their unique perspectives.

The contest encourages artists to explore themes of their choosing, creating cohesive bodies of work that demonstrate both narrative strength and artistic vision. Selection will focus on the quality of the images, the coherence of the portfolio as a whole, and the ability to convey a compelling visual story. The competition represents an opportunity for photographers to gain international exposure and connect with a vibrant global photography community.

Practical Info

Submissions are to be made via WeTransfer to portfolio@photometria.gr and must include 15 images, alongside a PDF with a portrait photo, a short bio, and concise descriptions of the project and artist statement.

Selected artists will see their portfolios exhibited at Photometria 2026, in Ioannina, Greece, and may receive discounted accommodation to support their participation. The jury panel includes Panagiotis Papoutsis (Founder), Achilleas Tziakos (Founder) and Panagiotis Pappas (Artistic Director).
