Overview

Embryo Platform is thrilled to announce an international open call for their upcoming annual curated project, NEONATE. They are looking for both amateur and professional photographers who are pushing the boundaries of the medium to explore newborn personal narratives, inspired visual languages that reflect the complexities of contemporary life.

Practical Info

The call is open to emerging and early-career photographers, with no formal restrictions regarding age, nationality, or professional status. Both amateurs and professionals can apply, and a wide range of photographic practices, including digital, analog, and experimental work, is welcome.

Applicants are asked to submit a coherent photographic series. Along with the images, applicants must include the project title, a short artist statement or description of the work, and basic personal details such as full name, Instagram handle and, optionally, a personal website.

Selected projects will be included in a collective photobook curated and published by Embryo Platform. Each selected photographer will be featured in a special spotlight on the Embryo platform's social media, as well as in any Presentations/Exhibitions related to the book. Artists whose work is selected will be contacted directly after the selection process.
