Mesnographies 2027 Open Call

For its 7th edition, Les Mesnographies invites photographers to exhibit their work in Les Mesnuls, France, responding to the theme The Pursuit Of Happiness.

Overview

Happiness is a positive emotion which is experienced as being pleasant and sometimes activating. Amongst the so-called universal emotions, happiness is one of the most desirable. It does not only arise in response to doing or receiving something, but also from a sense of connection between people or a sense of wellbeing.” - Department of Psychology, University of Oxford. Mesnographies invites photographers to consider the many ways in which happiness is sought, experienced, and understood. Projects can approach The Pursuit of Happiness through individual experiences, relationships, communities, or broader social questions, reflecting on what happiness means today and the different paths we take in search of it.
