Lucie Foundation Open Call Heritage

The Lucie Foundation is proud to launch a new open call inviting all worldwide photographers to explore the theme Heritage.

Overview

Anyone can apply worldwide. All mediums of photography are acceptable. All submissions must be within the theme Heritage, seen as an exploration of the traditions, history, and practices that form nations and the people in them. This open call asks authors to look at generations past and the influence both personally and as a collective. This heritage can be singularly experienced or broad and all encompassing. How does our past shape our present and future and in turn our art? What does Heritage mean to you?

Practical Info

Four are the categories: Portrait, Family/Community, Still-life/Object and B/W. The Grand Prize winner, with the highest score overall in any category, will be awarded with a featured interview on the Lucie Foundation website, will be part of Lucie Foundation online exhibition and will get a $1,000 cash prize, a 16×20″ print of the winning image from Paper and Ink Studio (printed and shipped worldwide) and a pick of one Lucie Honoree Poster (unsigned edition). In addition, other three winners with the highest score in the remaining categories (those remaining will depend on Grand Prize winner) will be selected and awarded with being included in Lucie Foundation online exhibition, plus a $250 cash prize, a 16×20″ print of the Winning Image from Paper and Ink Studio and a pick of one Lucie Honoree poster.

The jury team is formed by Dulcina Abreu (Executive producer, Revista Balam), Samantha Johnston (Executive Director & Curator, CPAC - Colorado Photographic Arts Center), Imani Tudor (Photo Editor) and Matthew Leifheit (Photographer & Provost, MATTE Institute).
