Liquida Photofestival invites photographers to join the fourth edition of the festival in Turin, Italy, and have a space whose set-up will be decided together with the Artistic Direction.
Overview
Through a dedicated work of editing, designing and declining the proposal with an exhibition layout capable of enhancing the project, the Art Direction will support the photographer in a concrete and structured way. Offline and online promotion and exclusive interviews will give a wide echo to your exhibition project, while one-on-ones with industry experts will allow you concrete professional growth.
Practical Info
Applicants must create a profile on Paratissima's website and complete the registration form to participate in the Exhibition section. This registration will automatically and free of charge also entitle the artist and their works to be included within the artgallery.paratissima.it platform, a showcase dedicated to the online promotion and sale of all the works of the registered artists.
One selected artist will be awarded free participation in the 21st edition of Paratissima, in conjunction with Turin Art Week, being included within the photography section of the event, gaining wide visibility online and offline. Art week is the most important showcase for the contemporary art scene in Turin.
Plus, the selected photographer will receive a solo show at FIUTO, a twelve square meters art space within which targeted and site-specific projects come to life. A place created with the intention of promoting the languages of contemporary art in a fragile territory far from the country's major cultural centers. Directed and curated by Alex Urso, the gallery has hosted in recent years prominent artists on a national and international scale (among others Marta Blue, Radek Szlaga, Virginia Mori, Giacomo Giovannetti), linking up with corporate and institutional realities (Cantina dei Colli Ripani, Polish Institute of Rome). Since 2024 it has been part of the list of “Places of the Contemporary,” the project of the Ministry of Culture dedicated to the most deserving places of artistic research in the national territory.
About Paratissima
Since 2005 Paratissima has been supporting independent artists and operators in the artistic-cultural sector in the acquisition, development and growth of their skills and professionalism. Since its inception, Paratissima has conceived and produced contemporary art exhibitions, aimed at promoting and spreading emerging art, becoming today a point of reference for all those who want to approach the world of trade fairs and the art market.
Following the incremental success of the event which takes place during the Turin Art Week, the production has seen the same format move nationally (Cagliari, Milan, Bologna) and internationally (Lisbon, Skopje), to then give life to the production of exhibitions signed by the big names in contemporary art. Today, in addition to its own event production, PRS offers its experience and expertise to public and private entities for external production.
