The festival has become an important meeting place for photography professionals with a large number of exhibitions, artist talks, dummy awards, photobook days and more.

Overview

Landskrona Foto Festival has a long tradition of exhibiting photography in outdoor locations. They have previously exhibited in parks and squares, on shopfronts, in waterways and on buildings, in order to bring photography outside of culture institutions and closer to the local community. The outdoor installations can promote social cohesion and community building, stimulate economic development, provide educational opportunities, and encourage reflection.

Practical Info

This year there are no thematic limits - the festival is looking for photography projects on different topics to be presented outdoors. You can visit their website to see some examples of how they have previously presented outdoor projects during festivals. Applicants can submit up to two projects including up to 15 images each.

Winners will have their work exhibited during Landskrona Foto Festival 6-22 September 2024. Prizes include an artistic fee of 400€, reimbursement of travel costs up to 300€, accommodation during the main opening weekend of the festival and the production costs for the exhibition.

About Landskrona Foto

Landskrona Foto Festival is organised by Landskrona Foto, the umbrella term used since 2013 to designate a centre for the photographic image, covering activities such as exhibitions, events and residencies. The aim is to be a meeting place for photography – where the established and the experimental come together and stimulate the general public’s understanding of photography and its value to society.
