Since it was established in 2001, Hasselblad Masters has highlighted exceptional photographic works to a large audience. The competition provides both established names and emerging talents with an invaluable platform for acknowledgment and visibility.

Overview

The Hasselblad Masters competition features six categories: landscape, architecture, portrait, street, art, and Project//21, dedicated to photographers under the age of 21. Each category requires the submission of three thematic photos with a unified style.

Hasselblad Masters are judged on their photographic ability, creativity, compositional skills, conceptual strength, and technique. Voting will then be opened up to the public in addition to the Hasselblad Grand Jury.

Practical Info

The competition is open to photographers worldwide. Entries may be shot on any digital or film camera from any camera brand and in any frame size (excluding drones, smartphones, and tablets).

Participants may submit entries to any competition category on the official Hasselblad website or the 500px website.

Winners will receive a Hasselblad 100-megapixel mirrorless medium format camera along with two XCD Series lenses, and a creative fund of EUR 5,000. In addition, Hasselblad will invite winners to fulfil their personal photography ventures using Hasselblad cameras. Selected works will then be published in the commemorative Hasselblad Masters book.
