Follow Up 2024

Since 2020, Follow Up has offered five aspiring photographers the opportunity to launch their careers with an independent project.

Overview

Five upcoming professionals will get the opportunity to produce their projects with financial start-up support and enjoy numerous publicity and networking activities, supported by the partners FUTURES, an initiative of the European Photography Platform, and Photonews, a newspaper for photography.

Practical Info 

The contest is open to photography graduates from a German university. Applicants should submit up to 10 images of former and/or current photographic projects and also up to 10 sample images and/or moods that visualize the project that will be produced with the support of the grant.

About Hauses der Photographie

Founded in 2003, Hauses der Photographie is an exhibition space in Hamburg with an important photography archive, a library, and a seminar room. It aims to promote the medium of photography in dialogue with other genres of contemporary art.
