The Diecixdieci Collective announces a call for photobooks for the 8th edition of the Diecixdieci Festival of Contemporaty Photography to be held in Gonzaga (Province of Mantua) from November 16 to 24, 2024.

Overview

Diecixdieci Call for Photobooks is open to any author who works with photography, and who has created their own editorial project. We are looking for original and contemporary works; the topic is open. Each author will have to send a hard copy of his editorial project which will be evaluated to be shown in a group exhibition and projected in the 2024 edition of the Festival. During the opening days, the works on display will be viewed by the Jury who will announce the winner of the Fotofabbrica Prize that consists of the production and setting up of an exhibition as part of the festival Diecixdieci 2025.

Practical Info

Any national or international author can participate with their own self-produced project, in dummy version, or already published by a publishing house. Applications must include at least 10 images of the project and the cover of the editorial work, a PDF file with the title of the project, author name, synopsis of the project, short biography and the author’s email, and the payment receipt of the participation fee.

The jury is composed of Aaron Schuman (Photographer, Curator and Educator), Massimo Sordi and Stefania Rössl (Omne Curators and Artistic Directors), Daniele Cinciripini and Serena Marchionni (Ikonemi Founder), and Giulia Boccarossa (Book Designer).

The photographic project selected at the discretion of the jury will be printed by Fotofabbrica of Massimiliano Carraglia, which is the technical sponsor of the Diecixdieci Festival, and will be exhibited during the Festival 2025.

Diecixdieci - Festival of Contemporary Photography is organized by the Diecixdieci Collective in collaboration with L'Officina dell'Immaginazione and Fondazione Un Paese, with the patronage of the Municipality of Gonzaga and the Municipality of Luzzara and the support of numerous partners.
