Overview

The BUP Book Award is a competition open to all photographers from around the world, with no limitations, exclusions or divisions. All photographic techniques are welcome. The goal of the BUP Book Award is to promote photobook as a way of expression. Book dummies or PDFs are not considered. Photographers are invited to send raw material that they will process further together to make sure they have the best possible edit of the project and layout for the book to present it to the world.

Practical Info

The winner author will sign a professional book publishing contract with Blow Up Press, receiving 10% net royalties and 30 copies of the printed book. The project will be edited by Blow Up Press editors and designed by Aneta Kowalczyk, their art director internationally known for her dedication to projects she works on. They will finance the production of the selected book, publish it in a print run between 500 and 800 copies (depending on the project complexity), and then distribute it internationally and promote at leading book fairs, festivals and competitions.

Applicants must send a complete submission including the payment confirmation, the filled submission form, the presentation of the project in 30-50 numbered images (only in jpg format and with 1500 pixels on the long side), and the English description of the project (no longer than 3000 characters with spaces).
