All About Photo Magazine invites dedicated and passionate photographers from all around the world to share their work in their printed edition.

Overview

Each issue is central to a specific theme and provides a gallery of inspiring imagery, focusing on each artist with their own experience to share. With an eye towards beauty, quality and novelty, they strive to promote portfolios which stand out for their unique visual signature style and character. Their goal is to help photographers get the exposure they deserve and to inspire others with ideas, projects and goals to help develop their own photography.

Practical Info

Mysterious, magical, intense, timeless, sometimes nostalgic, mastering the shadows in photography is an art in itself. It is a story in its own right, a unique form of expression. This 47th edition of AAP Magazine encourages photographers to capture the poetry and the power of shadows.

The award is open to professional and amateur photographers alike, and to all genres. The subject is completely open, it can be landscape, portraiture, street photography or any other genre. All types of photography, from digital to analog to alternative processes, including monochromatic toning, and beyond are encouraged to enter. Photographers from all over the world are invited to send up to 40 images - preferably a cohesive body of work or portfolio unleashing the poetry of shadows.

1st place winner will receive a cash prize of $500 and will have a full portfolio published in AAP Magazine Vol.47: Shadows; 2nd place winner will receive a cash prize of $300; and 3rd place winner will receive a cash prize of $200. The next seventeenth winners (ranked from 4 to 20) will have their best image(s) or portfolio featured in AAP Magazine Vol.47: Shadows.
