The Unknown Seasons

The Unknown Seasons is an ongoing series/selection featuring outdoor images, including suburbs, rural areas, tourist destinations and abandoned places. The series is a documantation of events that speak to the present of life and images.

I grew up in a town in the suburbs, in a capital city in the suburbs of the world. I am interested in these spaces for this reason, I believe that many of these images are an echo of that, of things that happened in places far from the center but that possess their own and that at the same time orbit others and so on. The Unknown Seasons is a personal project of documentation and creation of images. When I started photographing in the summer almost a year and a half ago, I was on vacation in places of rest, I visited several towns and beaches where there was an abundance of erosive, abandoned and growing demographic landscapes. As the project progressed and as I looked at the images that emerged, questions also arose about their content, about these places and about photography itself. Currently, the questions that surround the project, are more related to the nature that exists in these places, to that nature that is enveloped and eroded, to the passivity and aggressiveness of change, to the speed and perception of time. Where we are now.
