N.E.P.A. (Nada Es Perfecto Aquí)

N.E.P.A. is inspired by the popular Argentine expression "we tie everything together with wire". The project documents spontaneous solutions and reinterprets urban sculptures with found objects, using docu-fiction to reflect resilience.

Since 2020, I have been developing an active experimental laboratory in Córdoba, my hometown and the geographic center of Argentina. My practice employs a hybrid methodology, balancing a documentary gaze on reality with semi-fictional stagings where I invite the local community to improvise within their own territory. As an artist trained in cyclic instability, I conceive improvisation not merely as an emergency tool, but as an ontology: a way of being in the world.

The heart of "Nada Es Perfecto Aquí" is inspired by the popular Argentine expression "atamos todo con alambre" (we tie everything together with wire). This philosophy of "making do with what is available" challenges Western notions of permanence and perfection. The project documents and reinterprets informal solutions and improvised structures created by anonymous actors in the urban space. N.E.P.A. seeks to systematize this existential logic, transforming the intelligence of scarcity into a visual reflection on the resilience of our social fabric.

The project begins by scouting anonymous "spontaneous installations." This stage evolves into the creation of my own "urban sculptures" pieces that reinterpret this aesthetic using collected objects. Finally, through photography and a docu-fiction grammar, I document dramatized actions involving the residents and these sculptures.
