“Wind” is a photographic series documenting fallen bicycles, scooters, skateboards, and other vehicles in the streets. It explores the sense of unease these inanimate objects—lying on the ground, seemingly abandoned—provoke in us.

“Wind” is an ongoing project. It began in 2025 in Tokyo, Japan, after hours of severe wind. That day I went out and came across many bicycles lying on the ground. Those that were chained, in particular, conveyed a sense of abandonment and sadness. Empathy for inanimate objects is a peculiar sentiment, one that makes us feel unease. Finding these fallen bicycles, scooters, skateboards, and other vehicles has become my obsession. It's the first thing I look for when I go outside. I highly regret when I find one and don't have my camera with me. These photos were taken in Geneva, Switzerland, and Barcelona, Spain.
