Where Nature Heals

"Where Nature Heals" explores how we can reconnect with our true selves through nature, using eco-conscious photographic techniques. Through serene lumenprints and fluid landscapes, the project reflects on self-discovery, healing, and the transformation.

"Where Nature Heals" is a personal and universal exploration of how anyone can reconnect with their true selves through nature. The project reflects on the idea that natural environments offer a space for self-discovery, healing, and transformation. In a world overwhelmed by technological distractions and societal pressures, nature becomes a sanctuary—a place where we can find clarity, reflect on their identities, and grow.

Using alternative photographic processes such as lumenprints and phytograms, this series presents various natural settings, where I engage with the land as a mirror for my inner world. The lumenprint soft, pink tones create a serene atmosphere, evoking the quiet moments of introspection that nature facilitates. Meanwhile, the fluidity of the 35mm analog double-exposures, close-ups and wide landscapes mirrors the emotional journeys we all undergo, symbolizing the transformative process of finding oneself with different perspectives in a slow process of exploration the world by walking and using manual analog cameras.

"Where Nature Heals" invites viewers into these personal moments of connection, where the boundaries between self and environment blur. In these images I want you to find ourselves not through isolation, but through immersion in the natural world—allowing the earth, water, and sky to become partners in mine or your self-discovery and start the imaginative world coming from the reality.

The project reflects an eco-feminist perspective, emphasizing the role of nature not just as a backdrop but as a participant in the narrative of female growth, vulnerability and empowerment. The use of sustainable, eco-conscious photographic techniques such as using caffenol and expired photopaper also ties this journey of self-discovery to the broader conversation on environmental care, suggesting that as we seek to heal ourselves, we must also care for the planet.

Through this work, I aim to show that the journey of finding oneself is deeply intertwined with reconnection with the earth and exploring how do we feel in our enviroments. I travel a lot and since my healing journey I aim to be in nature as much as possible. This connection fosters growth, resilience, and peace, all of which are reflected in the visual language of the project.
