The project focuses on water euphoria, close affinities of water and imagination and takes into account the age-old links between the human and natural experience that suddenly assume new urgency.
"Euphoros" is the second chapter of the ongoing series of "What the Water Gave Us", which continues thinking about water as our essential connective element and the complex entanglement of the living. This time I take my cue from Claudia Egerer, who considers not only the close affinities of water and imagination, but also takes into account the age-old links between the human and natural experience that suddenly assume new urgency.
"Euphoros" is journeying into the state of water euphoria, a feeling of elation, freedom, happiness and wellbeing, one that is groundless and somewhat disproportionate to its cause. As opposed to euphoria's possible marriage to known negative connotations, this in an invitation to think about the the original meaning of the word, that of being borne well and healthy. All in the presence of water, of course. The journey continues.
