What Lies Beneath

Mental processes are, for the most part, unconscious. The conscious is only the tip of an iceberg, a small island of consciousness in the vast ocean of the unconscious. (Sigmund Freud)

According to Freud, the unconscious is a vast unexplored place where all our traumas, repressed thoughts and impulses are located.

This series is an attempt to visualize all those thoughts, impulses, fears, insecurities and anxieties, that are beneath the surface, within the unconscious mind. Childhood emotional wounds that we carry with us into adulthood and they affect our behaviour today.
