What I Am Missing is a personal photo project about the distance between me and my grandfather, living in Turin and Syracuse. Through everyday scenes and empty spaces, it explores absence, lost time, and the longing for moments we cannot share.
What I Am Missing is a deeply personal photographic project that grows out of the distance—both physical and emotional—between me and my grandfather. I live in Turin, while he remains in Syracuse, and this separation has slowly reduced the time we spend together, turning it into something rare, fragmented, almost suspended.
The photographs become traces of a presence that continues to exist even across distance, evoking both lived moments.
What I Am Missing is not just about my relationship with my grandfather, but also a broader reflection on distance, memory, and the way that shareable time changes our connections with the people we love.
