Ooze lighting pieces designed and made specifically for The Nest at Waking Life

The installation explores the relationship between light, texture and landscape - combining mohair with natural materials gathered from site to create soft sculptural lighting pieces rooted in their surroundings.

Each piece was developed through experimentation with material and form - transforming mohair yarn through textile techniques, fabricating the supporting structures (shout out to the soldering iron that wouldn’t let us sleep), to incorporating branches collected by the Landcare team.

This project feels extra meaningful to me after breaking my leg on the build last year. So grateful❤️
