Untitled _ Work on progress

This project is an ongoing work that suggests an interpretation of the insecurity that the county of Mexico is living with for some time now, and that sees no end. There are many factors that influence that situation but one of them is the history that continuously becomes the present as it can't be undone and sometimes it would look like there are too many interests in between that won't let the close future change either.

The information that is published in the news is just as trustworthy as any lie. Even if it seems to be a global situation for many reasons Mexico is leading in criminality and as well it is a country that is known for these crimes staying unpunished.

The images that will be part of this series are taken in a train that used to be part of the road that would transport people in a faster way from one point to another. If it was safe to travel back then, I doubt it, but during the Porfiriato, the time that Porfirio Diaz was president of Mexico, the society lived a growing economy and more people had employment. In any case, even if this politician was very controversial the nation was living through big economical changes that seemed to bring wealth and prosperity.
