Timeless Riddles

It has already been the 22nd year of appreciating the movie, 'Alice in Wonderland.' Why have I been into the movie so much? When I was little, I was mesmerized by marvelous surreal characters and the protagonist's prettiness. However, watching it as I grew up, I saw more than what I saw as a kid. Alice goes on an adventure to solve her curiosities. Why does the White Rabbit have a watch on him, and why does he always seem like he's in a hurry to go somewhere? The way she chases after the White Rabbit reveals her firm sense of purpose. In many continuously difficult situations, the main character perseveres due to her unique composure. She shows her tenacity by earnestly asking for a helping hand. Overall, Alice boldly leads the entire adventure while calm demeanor radiates such a strong and positive energy.

Like the protagonist, I have been challenged in my adventure too. I want to convey Alice's innocent but fearless behaviors through Times Riddles. I am not a male photographer, and my method of collage and mixed-media in photography is not widespread yet. In one sentence, I am not what people usually expect as a photographer. However, I have been progressing through my journey by making images to accomplish my goal. If the protagonist's aim is the White Rabbit, mine is creating images through my unique styles for communications with society and people. Thus, I challenged myself to complete the Timeless Riddles project, working with photomontage and mixed media methods.

Although Alice in Wonderland is a story for children, the main character illustrates the ideal image of a woman who lives in contemporary society. As a female, I know there have been some unseeable eyes from the world that frequently led me to be passive. Perhaps, that is why women who live an independent life bravely stand out in these present times. However, I realized that stepping forward boldly to a purpose is necessary, like how Alice leads her journey! Lastly, I want to thank Alice, who inspired me to come up with the series. I wish to share with every woman this message: 'Move forward to your goals wisely and fearlessly by letting yourself be the lead character in your adventure.'
