The Loss of a Soul

Α photographic project that traces human stories through the experience of loss. In August 2024, the death of my closest friend’s father became a catalyst, awakening memories of my own loss twenty-three years earlier, when I lost my father.

The project began with five experiential narratives, recorded as audio testimonies, shaped through conversation and intimate inner confession. Through these personal and truthful exchanges, I was inspired to approach each story visually, seeking to give form to emotions that resist language.

Here, photography does not function as a simple record of an event. Instead, it becomes a space of empathy—a sequence of images where the protagonist is not the subject itself, but the human mind and soul.
